Types of segmental garage door panels

When choosing a garage door, the question is which panels are good, what are their characteristics, do they have a filling? Rolomatic panels with polyurethane filling (PU panels) can be divided into two basic groups. The division is according to the way the adjacent panels are interconnected. According to that, we distinguish between Fingersafe and Traditional types of panels. See below how these groups are further divided and what their common characteristics are.

WG panel – board

The design in the form of wide planks – boards, with a surface in the Woodgrain variant, give this type of panel a special feature.
FingesSafe finger protection system is present on this type of panel.

TSX – smooth panel

The design of the TSX panel is completely smooth, with no applications on a smooth surface.

GO panel – golden oak

Extremely attractive design – imitation wood, makes GO panel very popular. The wood texture of this panel fits perfectly into the ambiences that exude the mountain style of architecture. The golden oak panel is equipped with the FingerSafe system, which provides protection for fingers from injury.

DO panel – dark oak

The DO panel is another very beautiful design with an imitation of wood this time in the dark oak version. It is a very common choice of people of refined taste. The dark oak panel is equipped with a FingerSafe system that provides protection for fingers from injury.

MR panel – lines

The MR panel features a modern design with application in the form of lines on a smooth surface.

IL panel – decking

The IL panel has a design in the form of narrow planks, placed horizontally. Hence the name ship floor. As with the MR panel, the IL panel has a Traditional connection. Also, thanks to the construction, the panel is used for openings of maximum dimensions.

The outer surface of the panel can be made in the pattern of Stucco, Microrib, Woodgrain and Smooth or covered with Drvodekor foil.

All panels from our offer are made of sheet steel, continuously hot-dip galvanized [95% zinc, 5% aluminum]. The technical characteristics of the panel are harmonized with the standard SRPS EN 13241-1: 2011 which is identical to the European standard EN 13241-1: 2003.

Under normal conditions, the panels are resistant to biological influences – mold, fungi and mold. Formaldehyde is not used in their production and the panels are not considered harmful.

The acoustic characteristic of all types of panels is reflected in the sound insulation [Rw] of 25 dB. The panels have a thermal conductivity, or so-called U value, of 0.51 W / m²K.

The filling of all types of panels is made of Polyurethane [PUR] which does not contain HFC, CFC and HCFC compounds and as such has zero impact on the ozone layer, which makes it fully compliant with the protocols from Montreal and Kyoto. It is environmentally sustainable and has little impact on global warming [GWP].

Solid urethane foam has a density of about 38 kg / m2. According to tests performed in compliance with European standards, the panels are classified in Class 5 [1300 Pa] under wind load, air permeability is in Class 2 without windows, and with 3 windows in Class 1.

Resistance to water penetration is in Class 3 without windows, and in Class 2 with 3 windows. Thermal resistance U = 1.2 without windows, and with 3 windows U = 1.3 [with C profile at the bottom and sealing rubber at the top].
